How Royalties are Calculated

Stanza pays 51% of net view revenue to copyright holders based on how much use their material has each quarter.

The view royalty calculation is as follows: Stanza’s net revenue × 51% × copyright holder's digital view % of total.

Digital View:

Any instance the song is viewed in digital format, such as on screens and projectors. Song must be viewed for 30 seconds or more.

Stanza pays a flat rate to copyright holders for each time a user chooses to print a copy of any of their songs.

The overwhelming majority of the proceeds from printing are passed on to copyright holders. Stanza only keeps a few fractions of a cent when transaction fees don't all come out quite evenly.

Physical Print:

Any instance when a user chooses to print the song. Users can print individual copies or as part of a collection, and the print rate remains the same.
